Pratama Arhan and Azizah Salsha Do Not Reconcile, Court Denies Withdrawal of Divorce Application

The Public Relations of the Tigaraksa Religious Court, M. Sholahudin, firmly denied the withdrawal of the divorce application submitted by Pratama Arhan. According to him, the legal process is still ongoing according to procedure.

"Earlier, we confirmed with the chairman of the council, which is why we asked for a moment to confirm that it is not true that there is a withdrawal of the case," said M. Sholahudin when met at his office on Tuesday (9/9/2025).

Nevertheless, Sholahudin explained that the divorce decree that was granted in absentia on August 25, 2025, has not yet become legally binding or final. This is because there is still one crucial stage that must be undergone.

This stage is the pronouncement of the talak (divorce) by Pratama Arhan as the applicant. This process is the final determinant of the marital status of this young couple, who just celebrated their second wedding anniversary.

"So it will be counted later for the declaration from August 30 to 14 days. It will be confirmed again later. So it won't be an immediate 14-day declaration, yes. It will be determined first by the assembly and the day of the hearing, yes," he emphasized.

Furthermore, Sholahudin emphasized that Pratama Arhan's presence at the upcoming divorce declaration hearing is an obligation. As the party submitting the application, he must be present in person before the panel of judges.

"Yes, he is required to be present because he is the one who submitted it. But if he delegates authority, yes, that authority consists of several powers. Now, this is specifically for the declaration, that is special authority," he asserted.
