Prilly Latuconsina Admits to Nerves Ahead of FFI 2025, Affirms Not Using Personal Funds

The actress and Chairperson of the Indonesian Film Festival (FFI) organizing committee, Prilly Latuconsina, admits to feeling nervous as she anticipates the main event to be held in a week. According to her, this year's preparations are more festive and challenging, even though it is her second year in the position.

As the person in charge, Prilly is directly involved in various details of the preparations, from the event concept to the guest list. Her experience from the previous year has made her more prepared to face various challenges.

"What is certain is that I'm nervous because the preparations are getting more festive," said Prilly when met at the Ministry of Education and Culture building, Senayan, on Wednesday (12/11/2025).

"The preparations are getting more festive as we prepare the event starting from the performers, how the red carpet will look, listing the invitations, and also preparing the merchandise that we will send to the guests," added Prilly.

"This is the second year, so I already understand what needs to be done. In the first year, it was still like 'oh what should we do' and so on. But in the second year, I understand more and the team is also more accustomed to it," she added.

The preparation process for the FFI, which took almost a year, she admitted was quite exhausting. Prilly had to travel around Indonesia to establish collaborations with various local film festivals and carry out other programs.

"Of course it's tiring, every job has its fatigue. Especially since I am the program chair, I go around Indonesia for collaborations with local festivals. So I travel with the ambassadors, and also organize online programs," explained Prilly.

Although tired, Prilly feels happy because her work has a positive impact on the film industry in the country. When asked about the possibility of using personal funds for FFI, she firmly denied it.

"No way, because this event already has a budget from the Ministry of Culture. So we should use the budget as efficiently as possible to organize the event and not use personal money, since I am being paid," she concluded.
