Angela Gilsha recently shared one of the most memorable moments of her life. The 31-year-old actress successfully completed a long journey to Everest Base Camp and shared the experience through her personal Instagram account.

Angela described the extreme journey as a challenging experience. She had to walk hundreds of kilometers in extreme temperatures that nearly froze her body. In fact, she admitted that the contact lenses she was wearing even froze due to the extremely cold air. Check out the complete moments below.

Angela Gilsha uploaded a moment when she was standing at Everest Base Camp, at an altitude of 5,364 meters above sea level. She expressed her pride after walking hundreds of kilometers through the Himalayan mountain trails. “Everest Base Camp 5,364 MASL after walking over a hundred kilometers through the heart of the Himalayas,” Angela wrote on Instagram.

In her post, Angela acknowledged that the journey to Everest Base Camp was not easy. The thinning air made her struggle harder to take each step.

“The journey wasn’t easy. The air got thinner, the nights colder, the steps heavier. But my body kept going,” she wrote, describing how heavy the challenges were that she had to face with each step.

While continuing the journey down from the base camp, Angela experienced a unique incident. She could no longer use her contact lenses because the solution froze due to the extreme temperature. "And I can't wear contact lenses today because my hands are freezing, and the contact lens solution is frozen," she said in a post on her Instagram Story.

After a long journey, Angela finally decided to descend using a helicopter. She felt too tired to go back through the same trekking route. "Waiting for the heli cause ain't no way I'm doing that same trail again lol," she wrote while showing the snowy mountain scenery around her.

Angela also revealed that the journey to Everest Base Camp is one of the wishlist items she has dreamed of for a long time. She stated that this achievement is the result of her faith in the process and in herself. “I manifested this. I spoke it into existence, trusted the process, and let the mountains teach me what strength and surrender truly mean,” she expressed.

Angela admitted she is grateful to have completed that challenging journey. She feels she has successfully proven the power of believing in herself. “Today I stand here not just as someone who made it, but as someone who learned how powerful it feels to believe in yourself,” wrote Angela.
