"Having a teenage child is not easy. I have to learn every day how to deal with this, especially with today's kids, the alpha generation, which is different from our millennial generation," Melaney said when met in the Thamrin area, Central Jakarta, recently.

Regarding the issues faced by Nikita Mirzani and Lolly, Melaney Ricardo stated that the public can learn many things. However, when asked if she agrees with Nikita's way of educating her daughter, Melaney gave a diplomatic answer.

"I think we can learn a lot from Nikita's parenting journey with Lolly. But being a mother is not easy. I can't say whether I am for or against (the way of educating), because every mother has her own intuition for her child. We can't say 'Oh, this is right, oh, this is wrong'," said Melaney.

2. Strengthen Children's Faith

Melaney Ricardo also shared how she educates her daughter named Chloe Lynch. She admitted to limiting Chloe's friendships and strengthening her daughter's faith by getting closer to God.

"When it comes to friendships, we definitely limit them because people nowadays are strange. Everything starts at home; their faith must be strong because outside we can't control it. Whatever the restrictions are, children must know that there is always mommy and daddy who are ready to accept them," concluded Melaney.
