The American singer, Halsey, is back in the spotlight with her new album titled The Great Impersonator, which is scheduled to be released on October 25, 2024. In order to promote the album, Halsey announced that she will portray various famous figures every day leading up to the release date.

This concept she is bringing forth is a blend of tribute and artistic experimentation, both in music and visuals. Halsey stated that she will imitate different icons each day and share snippets of songs inspired by them.

With this unique approach, Halsey hopes to provide a new experience for her fans while exploring various styles and identities inspired by the figures she imitates. This is an exciting step to reach audiences in a more creative way.

Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, known as Halsey, was born in New Jersey, United States, on September 29, 1994. She has Italian, Hungarian, and Irish ancestry from her mother, as well as African-American from her father. Halsey grew up with two brothers, Sevian and Dante Frangipane.

Since childhood, Halsey has been interested in music, starting to learn the violin and cello before switching to acoustic guitar at the age of 14. In one of her first interviews, she revealed that she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder at around 17 years old.

Halsey graduated from Warren Hills Regional High School in New Jersey in 2012. At the age of 19, she was accepted into the Rhode Island School of Design. Her music career began with the EP Room 93 in 2014, which gained attention for its emotional lyrics and alternative pop sound.

Her debut album, Badlands, was released in 2015 and produced several hits like New Americana, which skyrocketed her fame.

Her success continued with the album Hopeless Fountain Kingdom in 2017, which was inspired by the story of Romeo and Juliet, and created the hit Now or Never. In 2020, the album Manic explored personal challenges and blended various genres, including the single Without Me.

In 2021, she released the album If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power, produced by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. Halsey is also active in social causes, including campaigns for suicide prevention awareness and advocacy against sexual violence.

Halsey's fifth album, The Great Impersonator, is a continuation of If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power, and reached number two on the Billboard 200. This album will showcase a variety of musical styles from different decades, with several singles already released such as The End, Lucky, and Lonely Is the Muse.
