Jovial da Lopez, a YouTuber and artist, recently took to the streets to participate in a demonstration in front of the Indonesian Parliament Building in Jakarta on September 1, 2025. As is known, Jovial has become a public figure who always bravely expresses his criticism of the government.

Together with his brother Andovi da Lopez, they voiced the demands of the people known as "17+8 People's Demands.
"In front of the DPR Building, read one by one the 17+8 demands of the Indonesian people so that it is not considered just an online demand on social media. It has been read out LOUDLY in front of Senayan. LET'S DO THIS. TRANSPARENCY. REFORM. EMPATHY," he wrote in an IG post on Tuesday (2/9).
Among the demands is a request for President Prabowo Subianto to withdraw military personnel from civil security to form an independent investigation team for the death of Affan Kurniawan and other victims of violence by the authorities during the demonstrations.

Jovial completed his undergraduate education in Physics at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia in 2012.
Together with his brother Andovi da Lopez, he became popular through a YouTube account called SkinnyIndonesian24. He and his brother, Andovi, produced a musical called Polarisasi, which was first held in 2024.
In early 2022, Jovial joined the media company Narasi and served as Chief Creative Officer.
