Rachel Venya Spends Up to Rp 40 Million to Escape Quarantine

Kapanlagi.com - Celebgram Rachel Venya's action to escape from Wisma Atlet to avoid undergoing health quarantine has apparently been carefully planned since she was still in the United States. This was revealed in the first trial held at the Tangerang District Court on Friday (10/12).

To facilitate her plan, Rachel Vennya even went so far as to prepare a budget of up to Rp 40 million. This was directly admitted by her in front of the presiding judge.

"I called Intan, my friend. I asked how to avoid quarantine. Then I was given Mbak Ovelina's phone number," Rachel said in the courtroom.

1. Transfer Rp 40 Million While in America

In accordance with her initial plan, Rachel Vennya finally gave Rp 40 million to Ovelina Pratiwi. However, Rachel admitted that the money has now been returned to her.

"I paid Rp 40 million. I transferred it to Ovelina. At that time, I was still in America. But now the money has been returned," said Rachel Vennya.

2. Not Registered at All

To cut the story short, upon arrival at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Rachel, together with her boyfriend, Salim Nauderer, and her manager, Maulida Khairunnia, were directed by Ovelina to take a bus to Wisma Atlet, Pademangan, North Jakarta.

"Upon reaching Wisma Atlet, we met someone wearing a military uniform. After that, we went straight home. No registration," said Rachel Vennya.

3. Request from the Covid-19 Task Force

Meanwhile, Ovelina Pratiwi, who is also a defendant in the case, said that the amount of Rp 40 million was a request from the Covid-19 Task Force. In order to escape from quarantine, the Task Force asked for Rp 10 million per person. "So the figure came from the task force itself. The Task Force asked for Rp 10 million per person. I conveyed it to Rachel, and she sent Rp 40 million," said Ovelina.

4. Sharing the Money with Certain Individuals

According to Ovelina, the money she received from Rachel was then transferred to an account under the name of Kania, the sibling of an Air Force officer who helped Rachel escape from quarantine. "I transferred 30 million to Kania. I distributed the remaining 10 million in the field, with 4 million for me, 4 million for Eko, and 2 million for Zarkasih," she explained.

5. Uncomfortable During Quarantine

Furthermore, Rachel Vennya, who regrets her actions, admitted that she broke the health quarantine regulations because she felt uncomfortable. She admitted this when she returned from Dubai some time ago.

"Previously, I had been quarantined and I was not comfortable. That was when I returned from Dubai, I had to quarantine for 5 days," she said.
