Ranty Maria's Story of Experiencing Blistered Skin Due to Laser Treatment

Being of Korean-Manado mixed blood, actress Ranty Maria revealed many things about skin and beauty during a media gathering session at D'Xpert Clinic, Pantai Indah Kapuk, North Jakarta, on Thursday (20/7/2023).

"I'm really happy to be invited here, because I live in the south (Jakarta), it's very rare for me to come here, so I'm really curious about the facial and relaxation because I haven't tried it before," said Ranty Maria.

Due to her busy activities, this 24-year-old woman said that skin treatment is a necessity for her. Ranty admitted that she undergoes skin care once a month.

"If it's about treatment, it's a must. I try to do it once a month because I wear makeup every day from morning until midnight, so my skin doesn't get any rest. Not to mention when I'm shooting outside in the heat," she continued.

Ranty Maria admitted that she has a number of mandatory skincare products that she must use to support her daily activities. "A moisturizer is a must for me because my skin is very dry, and also lip balm," she said.

Ranty Maria then gave some tips on choosing the right beauty clinic. She advised women to do a little research first, such as about the doctor who will handle their skin.

Having a South Korean father, Ranty admitted that she often receives skincare products from that country. Although acknowledging that the Land of Ginseng is more advanced in terms of beauty care, Ranty chooses to mix the skincare products she uses with local ones.

When asked about the monthly cost of treatment, Ranty did not directly answer. "For beauty maintenance, there is indeed a separate budget. You could say I have the privilege sometimes when it comes to treatment, I am not allowed to pay. They only ask for an honest review. Not only me, maybe other artists are also like that," she said.

An unforgettable experience for Ranty Maria happened when she underwent laser treatment at a beauty clinic. At that time, she did not know that the laser temperature could be adjusted.

"Back then, when I had treatment at other places, the laser was really hot and I didn't talk to the doctor, so that's what caused my skin to blister. But now, the doctor explained that the heat can be reduced, if it hurts we can use anesthesia, if not, we have treatments," she said.

Dr. Andy Wijaya, Co-Founder & Medical Director of DXP, in a discussion attended by artists Ranty Maria and Maria Idol, hopes that the breakthrough offered by their clinic, which adopts the concept of a medical spa clinic, can provide a better experience and added value for premium beauty clinic patients in Indonesia.

The medical spa clinic in question combines the best beauty medical practices from various parts of the world with a spa approach such as reflexology and gua sha massage.
