Report Verny Hasan to the Police, Denny Sumargo Affirms His Actions Are Not a Gimmick

Denny Sumargo apparently does not intend to imprison DJ Verny Hasan after making a report to the authorities. He admitted that legal action was taken to obtain clarity on the issue, which has been going on for 10 years.

When met by Polda Metro Jaya, (8/9) Thursday afternoon, the actor who is familiarly called Densu revealed that since undergoing a DNA test in 2019, he felt defamed. However, on the other hand, he does not want this issue to have an impact on the family and the psychology of DJ Verny Hasan's child.

"So if Denny's goal is to imprison that person, it's not right. Since the first DNA test in 2019 came out valid, I have been falsely accused. But I didn't report it to the police because I still have a conscience," said Denny Sumargo.

"I think this is not good, not good for my family, for his child who is said to be affected psychologically. So we bring it to the legal realm," he continued.

If in the future Verny Hasan wants to reconcile, Denny Sumargo seems reluctant to respond to that possibility. He also emphasized that the ongoing issue between him and Verny Hasan is not just a gimmick to boost fame.

"If there is a justice restoration, then we'll see. But our point is not to make a report for gimmicks. We are not gimmicking. If this is declared P21 and goes through the judicial process, we will see how it ends," he said.

In addition, Denny's side actually doesn't want this issue to continue and drag on. In order to prevent this issue from getting even wilder, he decided to bring this matter to the legal domain.

"At that time, he made a clarification in a press conference, I watched it. He said let's sit down together, I said let's resolve it, let's do a DNA test. But we contacted him about his schedule and until now he's still busy with various things, well I understand," he explained.

"So we thought it would be better to report it legally so that it is clear whether it constitutes a criminal offense or not. And regarding this DNA test, if he feels it's not for me, then no DNA test. Later, if the court decides, there will be a DNA test, we will just follow the court," he concluded.
