Revealed: The Cause of Jessica Iskandar Experiencing Symptoms of Hepatitis A

The health condition of Jessica Iskandar was reported to have drastically declined, requiring her to be rushed to the hospital. The mother of El Barack Alexander was diagnosed with symptoms of Hepatitis A affecting her liver function. This health crisis began when she experienced a high fever that persisted for days without improvement.

Jedar recounted that her body temperature reached 39.3 degrees Celsius every night. Despite taking fever-reducing medication, her fever remained unstable, fluctuating up and down. This made her very worried, prompting her to decide to undergo further medical examinations.

"Yes, it was Hepatitis A. So, about how long ago was it, maybe not even 2 months ago, I had a high fever up to 39.3 every night. Then the fever would go up and down. If I took medicine, it would go down, then up and down again. It lasted for 3 days," said Jessica Iskandar when met in the Thamrin area, Central Jakarta, some time ago.

After undergoing several blood tests, the doctor finally concluded that Jedar had symptoms of Hepatitis A. This illness made her body feel very weak and often experienced severe chills. The doctor mentioned that there is no specific medicine for this illness other than complete rest.

"The symptoms of Hepatitis A made me weak, caused my fever to fluctuate, and my body felt chills like shivering. But the doctor said there is actually no specific medicine, just rest is needed," Jedar revealed.

The cause of this disease is suspected to originate from a pattern of consuming unhygienic food outside the home. Jedar suspects that germs entered when she consumed food that was not processed cleanly. Moreover, the symptoms of Hepatitis A usually only appear about two weeks after exposure to the virus.

"Yes, it might be because the food was not clean. That could be it. Actually, I don’t really know because I read that exposure can happen 2 weeks after consumption. And 2 weeks ago, I don’t know what I consumed," she explained.

Jedar's weak physical condition is suspected to be a factor that makes the virus easily attack. Over the last 16 months, her sleep quality has indeed decreased significantly because she still has to breastfeed Don at night. This has caused her immune system to drop drastically, making her prone to getting sick.

"Yes, I shouldn't get too tired. Because actually it might be because my immune system is weak too, right? For the past 16 months, I haven't had a full night's sleep because I have to breastfeed, have to give breast milk, so I really haven't been getting enough sleep. So maybe it's easy to get sick and I haven't been taking care of myself either," she said.
