Rezky Aditya Visits the Police Station, Requests Clarification on the Alleged Child Neglect Case Reported by Wenny Ariani

Kapanlagi.com - Actor Rezky Aditya was seen visiting the South Jakarta Metro Police Station on Thursday (21/11/2024). He was accompanied by his attorney, Irwan Irawan, to follow up on the report regarding the alleged child neglect filed by Wenny Ariani.

Although present in front of the media, Rezky chose to remain silent and only smiled without answering questions. His attorney then provided a statement regarding Rezky's visit to the police station.

"Just wanted to meet with the investigators, regarding the report that was previously closed," said Irwan Irawan when met at the location.

1. Schedule DNA Test

Irwan explained that the meeting with the investigator is also related to the agenda for the DNA test that will be conducted for his client. However, he has not confirmed the timing of the implementation. "Regarding that, the DNA test that will be conducted, (regarding the DNA test) will only be scheduled," he added.

This case began with a lawsuit by Wenny Ariani in the Tangerang District Court. Wenny is demanding recognition from Rezky as the biological father of her child. Not only that, Wenny also reported Rezky for alleged child neglect to the South Jakarta Metro Police on August 18, 2021.

However, the report was temporarily halted by the police in early 2022 after the Tangerang District Court judges rejected Wenny Ariani's lawsuit. Nevertheless, Wenny did not give up and filed an appeal to the Banten High Court.

2. Rezky's Case

On May 24, 2022, the Banten High Court ruled that Rezky Aditya is the biological father of Wenny's child. Rezky, who did not accept the decision, then filed a cassation to the Supreme Court.

The legal process continued until finally, on May 23, 2023, the Supreme Court rejected the cassation filed by Rezky. In its decision, the Supreme Court reaffirmed that Rezky is the biological father of Wenny Ariani's child.

With this decision, Wenny requested the South Jakarta Metro Police to reopen the report of alleged child neglect that had previously been halted. Now, this case enters a new phase with plans for a DNA test as one of the important pieces of evidence.
