Ria Ricis Sacrifices a 1 Ton Cow Named 'Macan', Cried Because She Had to Part Ways

Ria Ricis once again performed the sacrificial ritual during this year's Idul Adha celebration. She chose to sacrifice a large cow in her neighborhood to share with the local residents.

Ricis expressed that the cow she sacrificed has a quite fantastic weight. This is a form of her gratitude for the blessings she has received over the past year.

"How much is it? More or less, if I'm not mistaken, about one ton," said Ria Ricis when met in the Cilandak area, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (27/5/2026).

This moment of slaughtering the sacrificial animal brought deep sorrow for Ricis. The reason is, she had developed an emotional bond with the cow she named Macan before it was finally slaughtered.

"Crying sadly, of course, because I don't want to part. I really dislike parting with anyone. So because I have grown fond, very fond of Macan (the cow we named Macan), we have loved it, fed it, bathed it, and been together all the time," said Ricis.

Although feeling heavy-hearted, the younger sister of Oki Setiana Dewi realizes that sacrificing is a form of obedience to the Creator.

She had to let go of her beloved animal in order to fulfill her religious duty. "It's really sad because I want to part ways, but I have to be sincere," she said.

This year's sacrificial event by Ricis also serves as a gathering with the local community. Ricis admitted that she is quite familiar with the neighbors because she often interacts with them while hunting for street food in her area.

"Alhamdulillah today we are making a sacrifice at the mosque near my house. We are sacrificing just one cow, and alhamdulillah there were many residents, neighbors, and my friends gathered because I am quite familiar and close with my neighbors, as we often meet," she concluded.
