Richard Lee Clashes with Witness Doktif in Court, Reveals Discrepancies in BAP

The trial of Richard Lee regarding the alleged consumer protection violation resumed at the Tangerang District Court on Monday (27/7/2026).

This session heated up after Richard Lee's camp grilled a witness from the doctor Samira alias Doktif, namely Doctor Nanang, about the discrepancies in the Minutes of Examination (BAP).

Richard Lee revealed BAP evidence that Doktif actually purchased the disputed product from a third-party store that is not his own, not from an official platform as previously mentioned.

"Your BAP answer, if I'm not mistaken, point 9 and point 16, you stated that you do not know when and from which store the product was purchased. It is clearly displayed in court that Sister Samira bought it from Keranjang Shop and Reseller Shop. This store is not mine," said Richard Lee at the Tangerang District Court on Monday (27/7/2026).

It's not just about the origin of the products, Richard Lee also questioned the motives behind the live streaming content of Doctor Nanang with Doktif, who often discusses beauty products that are BPOM certified. In court, Nanang admitted that he also gained financial benefits from the collaboration. "If I'm selling, there will definitely be profit. That's a normal thing on social media," explained Nanang.

Hearing that confession, Richard Lee immediately questioned the sales ethics practiced by Nanang as a fellow doctor. "When selling, it involves researching and disparaging other people's products that are already BPOM certified. In your opinion, is that the right ethics?" asked Richard Lee.

The tension in the trial peaked when Richard Lee's attorney, Faizal Hafied, exposed inconsistencies in the location data and the date of the unboxing of the White Tomato and Salmon DNA products at the Pullman Hotel and Aston Hotel, which varied in the witness statements.

"Earlier I asked about the time, and it turns out there has been a change from October 2024 to November 8, 2024. I want to ask which one is certain? Is it November 8, 2024, at Hotel Aston, or is there another date?" explained Faizal Hafied.

Faced with that question, Nanang finally revised his statement by separating the dates of each product that he had previously mixed up. "For the WT (White Tomato) it's on November 8, but the Salmon DNA is on October 26," answered Nanang.

Hearing the revision and the ambiguity of the witness's statement, Faizal Hafied immediately closed the examination session that afternoon. "Thank you, it is very clear for us and very beneficial for our client," concluded Faizal Hafied.
