Richard Lee Enters the Quarantine Cell of the Youth Correctional Facility, No Special Treatment

Doctor and influencer Richard Lee is currently undergoing detention while awaiting the trial schedule for the alleged violation of the Consumer Protection and Health Law. After being officially handed over to the prosecutor's office, Richard was placed in the Youth Correctional Facility as a temporary detainee.

The case against Richard Lee began with a report from Detective Doctor or Samira Farahnaz regarding the alleged overclaim of beauty products. Investigators then named Richard as a suspect in December 2025 before the case file was declared complete.

Head of Intelligence at the Tangerang City Prosecutor's Office, Anak Agung Made Suarja Teja, explained Richard's condition when received by the prosecutor's office. According to him, Richard is in good health.

"Yesterday, on Friday, after the second phase of the reception, we entrusted him to the Youth Correctional Facility. His condition is healthy," said Anak Agung Made Suarja Teja when met in the Tangerang area on Monday (8/6/2026).

The prosecution even conducted a health check before entrusting Richard to the prison. This step was taken to ensure that the suspect's physical condition was truly fit to serve his sentence.

"Before we entrusted him, we checked his health with a doctor. So, because he was declared healthy, we dared to entrust him to the Youth Correctional Facility," he said.

During his time in the prison, Richard will undergo a two-week quarantine period. This period is part of the process of getting accustomed to the environment before mingling with other inmates.

The prosecutor's office emphasized that there is no special treatment for Richard Lee. All detainees receive the same treatment according to the applicable rules.

"The status is the same for everyone. The so-called suspects or defendants, those entrusted by the prosecutor's office are mixed with others. There is no special treatment, nothing special. All are the same. In the eyes of the law, all are the same," he said.

Interestingly, the prosecutor's office also revealed Richard's attitude during the transfer process. Reni Effendi's husband was said to accept all the procedures carried out by the authorities. "Oh no, there is nothing. He accepted it quite well, very cooperative," he said.

Until now, Richard is still waiting for the schedule of the first trial to be set by the Tangerang District Court after the verification process of the documents is completed.
