Ricky Harun reminisces about his Junior High School (SMP) days when he felt his appearance was very "messy" due to a lack of awareness about self-care.

"Because I realized, back when I was in SMP, I was really messy. Like, it didn’t matter to me, I was a boy, so I thought I didn’t have to be clean, just indifferent," said Ricky Harun when met in South Jakarta on Wednesday (26/11/2025).

Ricky's awareness of the importance of skincare only emerged over time. He realized that being indifferent to facial cleanliness actually had long-term effects on his skin condition. This then drastically changed his mindset about grooming for men.

"But it turns out that over time it affects our skin condition, especially the face. So, from personal experience, I would say to friends watching, let’s take care of our skin," he said.

Now, Ricky feels the need to spread the spirit of self-care to other men. According to him, taking care of the skin is not just about appearance today, but a long-term investment to keep the skin healthy in old age.

"So that later when we might be older, right? When we are older, the condition of our skin health will definitely decline. But if we have taken care of it from the start, then God willing, in the future, our skin will still be good," explained the father of four.

For him, the stigma that men do not need to take care of themselves must be dismantled for the sake of skin health itself.
