Ruben Onsu Experiences Stress and Insomnia Due to Prolonged Bensu Trademark Dispute

Kapanlagi.com - The controversy surrounding the Bensu trademark is still a hot topic following the Supreme Court's decision to reject Ruben Onsu's lawsuit against Ruben Onsu. Previously, Jordi Onsu, Ruben's brother, filed a lawsuit against PT Ayam Geprek Benny Sujono, 'I Am Geprek Bensu', regarding the ownership rights of the trademark.

This has caused Ruben Onsu to experience even more stress and insomnia. Moreover, there have been accusations from the public that have cornered Ruben's wife, Sarwendah.

"It's certain, especially in this day and age, this case has made him unable to sleep and constantly worried. Why is the news portrayed like this, as if he took over without any basis. It burdens his mind," said Minola Sebayang, Ruben Onsu's lawyer, during an interview in Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Thursday (18/6).

"Suddenly, news like that emerges and it's certainly burdensome for Ruben's mind. He believes that his partner in this business has legal grounds," he added.

1. Many Problems

Not only that, Ruben's burden of mind is increasing amidst the corona virus pandemic. It is known that recently he has laid off 2,500 employees. A series of ongoing problems certainly sparked a rumor that Betrand Peto's stepfather had visited a psychologist.

"Regarding that, if he consulted a psychologist, I haven't received that information from Ruben yet. But indeed he came to me and told me that this matter bothered him. But it's clear that he is continuously supported by his family," said Minola.

2. Condition Starting to Improve

Nevertheless, Minola Sebayang said that Ruben Onsu's condition is starting to improve now. Because according to him, since he and his client spoke up in response to the allegations, the media coverage has become balanced and the public knows the truth after clarification.

"Because the public has already formed an opinion, we clarified. If we didn't clarify and people didn't know the actual facts, giving negative comments would definitely be shocking. Ruben's condition is now quite good because there's already balanced news," he concluded.
