Ruben Onsu Undergoes Examination as a Witness in the Bullying Case Against Betrand Peto, Is the Perpetrator Underage?

Kapanlagi.com - Ruben Onsu visited the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, South Jakarta, on Tuesday morning (28/1/2020). He underwent examination as a witness in relation to the report filed by the artist management representing Betrand Peto regarding bullying on social media.

This examination was originally scheduled last week. However, due to his busy schedule, Ruben could only come today. He answered ten questions from the investigators.

"This is the postponed examination from last week, but I could only come today. I answered several questions regarding the bullying that happened to my first child, and I answered ten questions from the investigators. I was asked how I knew, where the source came from, it's the same as others when called as a witness," said Ruben Onsu after undergoing examination.

1. Underage Perpetrator?

There are rumors circulating that the bullying perpetrator against Betrand Peto on social media is done by many accounts. But is it true that there are perpetrators who are still underage?

"(The number of perpetrators) there are several, the police ethically answered. Yes, approximately (ten accounts) because there will definitely be further development. (Underage perpetrators) can be seen from their photos. But if they are caught, it will also be revealed. Everyone can use anyone's profile pictures," explained Sarwendah's husband.

2. Initially Unaware

Ruben Onsu admitted that he initially did not know that his foster child had become a victim of bullying on social media such as Facebook and Instagram. In fact, he only found out about this information from Betrand Peto's artist management and became angry about it.

"I actually found out about this case from the management. I don't use Facebook, what I upload on Instagram is linked to Facebook by itself. But I don't use it to browse. So I didn't know," he said.

The perpetrator is charged under Article 27 paragraph 3 of the ITE Law. The threat is a prison sentence of up to four years.
