However, he still holds great hope that his children will continue to grow up happy even without his presence at this time. "Yes, those children are definitely number one. As a father, I have wasted my time. I wasted my time being together with my child that will never come back, you know," said Ammar Zoni when met at the Central Jakarta District Court on Thursday (4/2/2026).

Ammar's concern for the condition of his children is very clear. Even though he cannot monitor them through his phone, he believes that his ex-wife has provided the best care for their children. He also hopes that in the future, his children can have a father figure who is better than himself as he is now.

"I don’t know how my children are doing now. How they are growing up, because I can’t hold a cellphone and I can’t see. But I am sure my children are very healthy out there with their mom, you know. I also hope my children are happy with their mom there, and... can get a father who is good, who is kind, not like me," he explained.

Ammar promised to work hard to change for the future. As a public figure, he wants to prove that someone who has once fallen due to drugs still has the opportunity to rise and become a good example for others who are struggling against addiction.

"I will try. I will try to show that I can rise from my downfall. I am trying to prove that I can. I have to be an example because as a public figure, I must set an example as someone who has struggled with drug abuse and is fighting against this addiction," he said.

He also hopes for prayers and support from family and the wider community so that his struggle yields positive results.

"And I really hope for support from all the people, and I really hope for support for my struggle to fight this addiction of mine. Both from family, from close friends, everyone," concluded Ammar.
