Sarwendah Attends Custody Hearing vs Ruben Onsu, Focuses on Child's Happiness

Kapanlagi.com - The first hearing of the child custody lawsuit filed by Ruben Onsu against Sarwendah began at the South Jakarta District Court on Wednesday (15/7/2026). This legal process marks the start of a series of hearings that will determine the custody of their children after their separation.

Sarwendah was present at the hearing along with her attorney, Chris Sam Siwu. Her presence is said to be a form of compliance with the court summons as well as her commitment to follow the legal process in place.

"I am here today to fulfill my first court summons. So, as a good citizen, I am present here, and coincidentally, the hearing is taking place at the South Jakarta District Court," said Sarwendah when met at the South Jakarta District Court on Wednesday (15/7/2026).

Upon arriving at the location, Sarwendah chose to respect the proceedings of the trial without making many statements outside the legal process. She emphasized that she would follow all stages in accordance with the applicable regulations.

On this occasion, she also conveyed that her presence is part of her responsibility as a citizen. The ongoing legal process is fully entrusted to the court mechanism.

Sarwendah appeared to be accompanied by her legal team while at the South Jakarta District Court. She attended the initial hearing agenda, which is the preliminary stage before further discussions.

2. Sarwendah's Focus Remains on the Children

In the midst of the ongoing custody dispute, Sarwendah asserted that her main priority remains unchanged. She places the happiness and comfort of her children as the most important thing.

"And as a mother, my focus has never changed from the past until now, which is to ensure my children's happiness and make them feel comfortable," Sarwendah stated.

She hopes that her three children can continue to grow up in a happy environment, even though their parents have separated. This is the main reason for undergoing this legal process.

Additionally, Sarwendah also asked for prayers so that the entire court process runs smoothly and yields the best results for her children. "So please pray that the trial can proceed smoothly for the happiness of the children. Thank you," she said.

3. Initial Hearing Agenda Still in Administrative Stage

Meanwhile, Sarwendah's attorney, Chris Sam Siwu, explained that the initial hearing has not yet discussed the main issues. The agenda being carried out is still administrative.

He mentioned that the initial stages include checking the identities of the parties involved in the case, both the plaintiff and the defendant. "Later, yes, after the hearing. Okay, so today's agenda for the first hearing is usually to first check the identities of the plaintiffs and defendants. Then a Mediator Judge will be appointed, where the mediation process will take place," explained Chris Sam Siwu.

After the appointment of the mediator judge, the process will proceed to the mediation stage, which is part of the series of case resolution before entering the discussion of the substance of the lawsuit.
