Sharena Delon admitted that she started to notice that some of the tempeh she consumed sometimes had a slightly sour taste or a less fresh aroma. That curiosity led her to invite Marce to try making tempeh from scratch.

Uswatun Khasanah or Marce, who is known as a housekeeper and caregiver for the artist's children, became the one who taught the entire tempeh-making process. Sharena also captured the moment in the form of a tutorial video that was later shared with the public.

In the initial stage, the soybeans are washed clean before being boiled for about 30 minutes. After that, the boiling water is replaced and the soybeans are soaked overnight to prepare for the next process.

After being soaked overnight, the soybeans are washed again and then cracked to remove the skins. The rinsing process is repeated several times until the soybeans are completely clean and ready to be processed.

The cleaned soybeans are then steamed for about 40 minutes. Sharena participated in this process from the first day to the last.

After cooking, Sharena then cools the still hot soybeans until they are completely cold. Once the soybeans are cool, tempeh yeast is sprinkled and stirred evenly across the entire surface.

Sharena Delon then wraps the soybean mixture that has been given yeast in banana leaves. After being neatly wrapped, the tempeh is left for three days until the fermentation process is perfectly completed.
