Sheila Marcia Chooses to Buy New Clothes at Low Prices Compared to Thrifting, Here’s Why

Known for her unique and bold appearance, Sheila Marcia turns out to be a very simple person when it comes to everyday fashion. For her, comfort and confidence are the main keys, not the price or brand of the clothes she wears.

When asked about her fashion style, this mother of five admitted that she does not like complicated things. She prefers clothes that allow her to move comfortably, especially since she now has to be active taking care of her children.

"Yes, I’m very simple. I’m like that, if I like it and I’m happy, then I wear it. It’s just more about whether it’s comfortable or not," said Sheila Marcia when met in the area of Jalan Kapten Tendean, Mampang, South Jakarta, recently.

Interestingly, although many celebrities enjoy hunting for thrifted items, Sheila actually admits that she doesn't like it too much. She has a bit of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) which makes her uncomfortable wearing second-hand clothes from others.

"My husband seems to like thrifting, but I don't really, because we both have a bit of OCD. I imagine wearing clothes that someone else has worn and it's like 'hmm' I just can't do it," she said with a laugh.

Instead, she prefers to buy new clothes at affordable prices. According to her, there's no need to spend tens of millions just for a piece of clothing.

"I usually spend around 300-500 thousand. If it’s expensive, it’s usually for jackets that can reach millions, but not tens of millions or hundreds of millions, no. For me, it's ridiculous. It seems silly to me," she asserted.

On the other hand, when performing as a DJ, Sheila admits her appearance can be much more extravagant and has an alter ego. However, she still holds onto the principle of elegant sexiness and always seeks her husband Dimas Akira's opinion before performing.

"If it has to be sexy, then it should be elegantly sexy, not cheap sexy," she explained.

In the end, Sheila emphasizes that fashion is about how a person carries themselves. Regardless of whether it's expensive or cheap, what matters most is that the outfit makes you feel comfortable and confident.
