Facing criticism from many parties, Shella Saukia, accompanied by her husband, issued an apology for the commotion that occurred.
This can be seen from a video posted on Shella Saukia's Instagram account. Through a video uploaded on Instagram on Friday (29/11/2024), the couple expressed their apology to the public, with Shella's husband opening the apology.
Shella Saukia and her husband are suspected of sending Isa Zega through their travel agency, SS Travel.

"In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Peace be upon you and God's mercy and blessings. Greetings of peace to us all. May we all be under the protection of Allah SWT and may we all be in good health," said Shella Saukia's husband.
"I am Fitra Budiman, along with my wife, Shella Saukia, and our entire extended family, we ask for forgiveness from Allah, and with a sincere intention, we sincerely apologize to the entire Indonesian community for the turmoil that has occurred recently," Fitra Budiman expressed in the video.

"You both realize that perhaps our attitudes and behaviors have hurt many parties," Fitra Budiman continued.
Shelly Saukia expressed her regret over what has happened. "And we, full of regret, will continue to commit to learning to be better individuals in the future," said the hijab-wearing woman.

"Thank you for the understanding and prayers from all parties. May this be a great lesson for us, and we will continue to improve and move towards better things. Once again, we sincerely apologize for this incident," said Shella.

It is known that this apology is a result of the departure of Isa Zega for umrah, who is transgender (formerly male) but practices as a Muslim female during umrah.
