Acha continues to be active in her career in the Indonesian entertainment industry despite living in Australia. She often takes on jobs that do not take up much time so she can remain focused on her family. Acha's new project is starring in the film AIR MATA MUALAF, and she feels challenged to portray the character Angie.
"Angie is someone who keeps searching, always has opinions, is open-minded, but is always faced with problems. She thinks she can always use her mind, but now, she has to face matters of the heart," said Acha Septriasa as reported by detikpop, on Sunday (29/9/2024).
Acha Septriasa, who now lives in Sydney with her husband, Vicky Kharisma, stated that she feels connected to the character Angie due to her personal experiences as an actress, mother, and wife who is also far from her family.
"I feel that too, being far from family. I feel like this is similar to me. It seems like God wants me to play a role in this film, with the experiences I have," said the 35-year-old actress.
Acha got married to Vicky in December 2016. She was then immediately taken to Australia, as Vicky works there.
Acha has been living abroad for 8 years. She admits that the early days of her marriage to Vicky Kharisma in Australia were quite tough. She had to adjust to a new environment and live independently without the support of her extended family, who had always been by her side before.
