Teuku Rassya is busy with various preparations ahead of his wedding day with Cleantha Islan. The couple has decided on a unique concept for their wedding events. As a man of Acehnese descent, Rassya wants to uphold the traditions of his family heritage.

For the marriage ceremony, Rassya ensures that the traditional atmosphere will be strongly felt. However, he is also making some adjustments so that the event can keep up with the times while remaining sacred. This choice of customs is a form of respect for his ancestors.

"Okay, for the akad, it will definitely be Acehnese. That's it. The akad will be quite traditional Acehnese. But maybe there will be some adjustments, you know. The procedures," said Teuku Rassya when met in the Menteng area, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (13/1/2026).

Unlike the very traditional marriage contract, for the reception, Rassya and Cleantha have other plans. They want to combine two different cultures.

Considering that his fiancée has Japanese ancestry, international elements and a touch of the culture of the Land of the Rising Sun will be incorporated into their party concept.

"As for the reception itself, we are still thinking about it frankly, but there might be an international theme because on my partner's side, there is also Japanese ancestry. So we're trying to accommodate that," he said.

Even though he is using a Wedding Organizer (WO), Rassya is still hands-on in monitoring the progress of his wedding preparations. He does not want to leave everything to chance because he wants to ensure the results align with their shared desires. Rassya provides a lot of input, especially regarding the aesthetics of the event.

"I provide input, a lot of input. Maybe from the aspect of what do you call it, the design and decor and everything. But I definitely want this to be a happy day not just for me, but for my parents, family, and also my partner," explained Rassya.

Regarding the location of the event, Rassya has confirmed that the wedding will not be held outside the city. He chose a hotel in Jakarta as the venue for the event.

The concept has also been decided to be held indoors for the comfort of the invited guests. "The event is in Jakarta. Indoor, indoor. Hotel," he said.
