The Case of SP3, Legal Counsel Karen Pooroe Refuses to be Accused of Making False Reports

Kapanlagi.com - Legal counsel Karen Pooroe, Wemmy Amanupunyo, admits to having received information regarding the Termination of Investigation Order (SP3) from the South Jakarta police. She responded to the report calmly.

"Well, that's legitimate because it's a decision from the police. If this report is considered to lack sufficient evidence, it's the police's policy," she said when contacted on Tuesday (24/3/2020).

"Because we felt that what happened during the confrontation between Mbak Karen and the witnesses who were considered to strengthen the report turned out to be different when examined. So, this goes back to each person's conscience," he added.

There were differences during the examination, and she refused to be accused of making a false report. "It's impossible, Mbak, because reporting a criminal incident would be considered a false report if it's a lie or not true, so it's impossible for us to report something if it's not true," she said.

2. Lack of Evidence

Wemmy also added that Karen did not have enough evidence and witnesses during the incident. This was because she was at Arya's house at the time.

"The second thing is that the incident happened at Arya's house, and it's understandable that his parents would consider it a lie. Because Mbak Karen doesn't have enough evidence, let alone being threatened with a gun, even if there was a bomb there, we wouldn't be able to say anything because there are no other witnesses," she concluded.
