The Hearing Heats Up, 11 Photos of Paula Verhoeven's Side Claiming Witnesses and Evidence Presented by Baim Wong Do Not Strengthen the Argument

Kapanlagi.com - Paula Verhoeven through her legal counsel, Alvon Kurnia Palma, responded to the testimonies of witnesses presented by Baim Wong in their divorce trial at the South Jakarta Religious Court.

In the trial, Baim's side claimed that the testimonies of the witnesses played an important role in strengthening the arguments presented.

Alvon Kurnia Palma stated that the testimonies of the witnesses presented by Baim actually have the potential to weaken their arguments. He stated that the witnesses proposed do not support the arguments put forth by Baim Wong.

"We assess that the witnesses they presented are contradictory, do not strengthen, or weaken their own arguments," said Alvon Kurnia Palma at the South Jakarta Religious Court, Wednesday (18/12/2024).

Alvon also added that his party has studied in depth the statements made by those witnesses.

Based on his analysis, he feels that the arguments from Baim's side are not strong enough to support the claims made.

"We have thoroughly investigated that. Therefore, we construct it as not strong," said Alvon.

Furthermore, Alvon commented on Baim Wong's efforts to present witnesses that are considered less relevant. According to him, this step seems futile because the statements provided did not succeed in revealing significant facts in this case.

"In law, there are actually acupuncture points that can be utilized, which can reveal the weak points where a significant fact can emerge. Therefore, we assess that this is not strong. Even though they are using it now, we believe they are wasting it," he explained.

In addition to the witnesses, Alvon also highlighted the electronic evidence submitted by Baim Wong's side during the trial.

According to him, the evidence involves important issues related to two regulations, namely the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (ITE) and the Personal Data Protection Law.

"Now then, the second point relates to electronic data. This electronic data is connected with two laws, one being the ITE Law, and the other being the law on personal data protection," said Alvon.
