"In that year, I received love from one of the men who persistently approached me. There's no need for me to mention his name here, I'll just give the initial B," wrote Titiek in the book.
This man with the initial B is the son of a doctor. In Titiek's eyes, B is a figure who is handsome, romantic, and mature. During their relationship, Titiek and B often spent time sitting in the park while chatting.
Her relationship with B then ended due to differing family values between B and Titiek. She felt unworthy of being part of B's family.
Titiek then turned to Sukasno. Sukasno is a student soldier. At that time, Sukasno often noticed Titiek as she passed by on her old bicycle.
The closeness between Titiek and Sukasno received support from their families. Even Titiek's parents urged them to marry soon. Although Sukasno was quite jealous and Titiek was only 19 years old, the marriage eventually took place in 1957.
The marriage between Titiek and Sukasno did not go smoothly. As reported in the book TITIEK PUSPA: A LEGENDARY DIVA, Sukasno became increasingly harsh at home. This led to their divorce in 1959.
Just a few days after the divorce, Titiek found herself two months pregnant. Yes, she was carrying Sukasno's child. Later, the baby was born safely on January 12, 1960, with the name Petty Tunjungsari.
After divorcing Sukasno, Titiek, who was pregnant with her first child, became close to Zainal Ardi. The man, who was a radio announcer at RRI, was very caring towards Titiek's pregnancy. They then married in 1960.
The marriage with Zainal did not go smoothly either. "I did not expect that Zainal felt pressure due to the pace of my career. He started to show his jealousy again. My existence made Zainal irritable," wrote Titiek in the book TITIEK PUSPA: A LEGENDARY DIVA.
During her marriage to Zainal, Titiek temporarily stayed at Aunt Kamil's house until she rented a garage on Jalan Sukabumi, Menteng. Life was not yet truly stable, but Zainal left for Germany in 1963.
He continued his education in broadcasting sponsored by TVRI. Zainal left just like that, without saying goodbye to Titiek and their two children. Zainal's departure marked the end of their marriage.
During her journey, Titiek met her last love, Mus Mualim. At that time, Titiek and Mus Mualim's relationship did not receive approval from her uncles because Mus was still married to someone else. Time passed, and they eventually got married after Mus divorced.
Together with Mus Mualim, Titiek created many works. Moreover, Mus was a musician and composer. In Titiek's eyes, Mus was nearly perfect as a life partner.
However, the marriage did not always go smoothly, but Titiek was reluctant to divorce for the third time. She maintained the marriage until Mus passed away on January 1, 1990.
