On Tuesday, March 4, 2025, she was officially detained by the police on suspicion of extortion and threats against skincare entrepreneur Reza Gladys. Along with her assistant, IM, Nikita was named a suspect following a report from Reza on December 3, 2024.

The case began when Reza Gladys claimed that Nikita had defamed him through a live broadcast on TikTok, while also making threats and extorting him. Reza claimed to have transferred a total of IDR 4 billion to Nikita, which complicated the case further and drew public attention.

1. Officially Detained on Charges of Extortion

Actress Nikita Mirzani and her assistant, Mail Syahputra, have officially been detained on charges of extortion against the owner of a local skincare brand, Reza Gladys. The detention was carried out after an intensive examination that lasted more than eight hours at the Metro Jaya Police, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (3/4/2025).

The police did not take long to follow up on the report. Although both were absent from a previously scheduled examination, they were eventually detained after the examination on March 4. The Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Pol Ade Ary Syam Indradi, explained the reasons for the detention of Nikita and her assistant.

"The investigators have conducted examinations of both suspects. For sister NM, during the two BAP processes as a suspect, 109 questions were posed. Then for brother IM, during the two BAP processes as a suspect, 99 questions were posed," said Ade Ary.

The case first came to light when Reza Gladys reported Nikita's actions to the authorities. The report was filed on December 3, 2024, after feeling threatened and extorted by the artist known for her glamorous lifestyle. The police then gathered evidence and conducted examinations of Nikita and her assistant.

3. Evidence Gathered by the Police

One of the main reasons for Nikita's detention is the sufficiency of evidence held by the police. Ade Ary stated that the evidence collected by the investigators forms a strong basis for the detention. The secured evidence includes documents, flash drives, mobile phones, and digital extraction results. In addition, five experts have been questioned, and 16 witnesses have been examined.

"The evidence consists of nine documents, flash drives, mobile phones, and digital extraction results. Additionally, there are statements from five experts and examinations of 16 witnesses," he explained.

4. Detained for the Next 20 Days

Moreover, the detention of Nikita and Mail is also based on subjective considerations. Kombes Pol Ade Ary assured that all investigative processes are conducted professionally and in accordance with applicable legal regulations.

"The investigators have subjective considerations, but everything is in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Code and investigative procedures," he said.

This detention is carried out for the next 20 days. During the detention period, investigators will continue to complete the case files to be submitted to the prosecutor's office.

5. Threat of Punishment

In a press conference, the Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Pol Ade Ary Syam Indradi, explained that Nikita and her assistant are charged with several articles, including Article 27B paragraph (2) and Article 45 paragraph (10) of the ITE Law, as well as Article 368 of the Criminal Code. The threat of punishment they face could reach 20 years in prison.

"Furthermore, the investigators continue to deepen and complete the documents related to the incident a quo," he added.

6. Response to Reports Regarding Doktif and Doctor Oky

As for the other two reported individuals, namely Doctor Oky and Doktif, Ade Ary stated that they cannot provide further information at this time. "We assure the investigators, as this investigation process cannot be speculative," he concluded.

The police will continue to investigate this case and summon relevant witnesses. With various articles being charged, Nikita and her assistant must prepare to face a challenging legal process.
