The labor process of Via Vallen's second child, which took place on Sunday (3/8/2026) at National Hospital Surabaya, left a touching story. Via had to struggle against the pain for the safety of her baby.
As the attending doctor, Dr. Hendra Hendri revealed that the dangdut singer had a strong desire to give birth at the right time. She wanted her pregnancy to reach the maximum age.
"Mrs. Via Vallen tried her best to hold off (the labor) until close to 40 weeks so that her daughter would be born in optimal condition. She endured pain and fatigue because the contractions had been held for days, but since she was already dilating, she had no choice but to give birth," explained Hendra Hendri during a virtual press conference on Tuesday (3/10/2026).
The doctors finally decided to perform a cesarean section. This medical procedure was chosen to ensure the safety of both the mother and the baby because Via was already experiencing intense contractions.
After birth, the condition of the baby girl was declared very healthy. Pediatric Specialist, Dr. Dian Pratamastuti, Sp.A, emphasized that the baby's physical condition showed very positive signs."The baby was born in good condition, immediately cried very loudly. Her skin is good and her movements are active. In the physical examination, everything is normal, from the heart, lungs, to digestion, all are good," said Dian.
Now, Via Vallen is still undergoing intensive care in the hospital to recover her physical condition. The delivery process was indeed quite draining for the singer.
Interestingly, even though she is still in recovery, Via Vallen has already started providing exclusive breast milk. She even takes on the role of a tandem nursing mother for her two children.
"This second baby is breastfeeding very actively. Mother Via Vallen is considered a tandem nursing mother because she is still breastfeeding her first child, so her breast milk doesn't need to wait long, and colostrum is immediately available for the best nutrition for her daughter," said Dian.
The arrival of this second daughter is the most beautiful gift for Via and her husband, Chevra Yolandi. Now their small family is even livelier with the presence of a pair of adorable children.
