The Supreme Court Decision is Out, Eza Gionino Affirms He is Still Validly Married to Meiza Aulia

Eza Gionino provides the latest news regarding the status of his marriage at the Supreme Court. The 36-year-old actor explained that his wife's appeal has reached a positive outcome.

As reported, Eza Gionino was filed for divorce by his wife, Meiza Aulia Coritha, on September 3, 2025, at the Cibinong Religious Court in West Java. The lawsuit was filed electronically by Meiza's legal counsel. Initially, the lawsuit was not accepted, until the wife pursued an appeal to the Supreme Court to determine the fate of their marriage.

"Until it finally went to appeal, she appealed, I was messaged by the Supreme Court blablabla and finally it was released yesterday from the Supreme Court, 5 days ago, yes, 5 days ago the decision upheld the previous results," said Eza Gionino when met in the Kemang area, South Jakarta, on Saturday (16/05/2026).

"So our status is still valid as husband and wife," said Eza. The soap opera actor is aware of the differences in status between the laws of the state and the religion he currently practices.

Although administratively still bound, he admits that the reality of their lives is already very different. He and Aulia have also separated their homes considering their conflict, as his wife feels they are no longer compatible.

"Yes, but what can we do, according to our religion we are Muslims. I am a Muslim, my wife is a Muslim, I am a Muslim, according to religion we are no longer husband and wife, if we talk about reality. But according to the state, we are still considered valid as husband and wife," Eza said.

The father of these three children admits that he knows the character of Meiza Aulia Coritha, who is affectionately called Eca, very well. However, he feels a significant concern about the influence of the environment surrounding his wife.

"I know very well what my wife is like. I know very well, I still refer to her as my wife. I understand her mindset, but what I am really worried about are the whispers from others that may not be good," he expressed seriously.
