"As scheduled, Chika has visited the South Jakarta Metro Police, then we have taken her statement, and there are some things that she conveyed while at the scene," said the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Ridwan Soplanit, at his office on Thursday (4/21/2022).

1. Chronology of Events

During the examination, 20 questions were asked to Chika, one of which was the chronology of events from Chika's version.

"Among them, at that time, Chika explained that when both groups, the complainant and the defendant, were at the cafe, Chika had not yet arrived," he said.

"Then when she arrived at the cafe, she went straight to her female friend who was close to the victim's table. After that, they met, talked for a while, then hugged. While crying, Chika, in that position, Rico came to the victim's table," continued Ridwan Soplanit.

2. Under the Influence of Alcohol

At the time of the incident, based on Chika's testimony, Rico Valentino appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, so he couldn't control himself.

"In Chika's statement, at that time Rico was out of control due to his being drunk. He was under the influence of alcohol, so he did something spontaneous," said Ridwan.

3. Cannot Confirm

Meanwhile, Chika cannot confirm whether Putra Siregar was also under the influence of alcohol at that time.

"She admitted that she didn't see the whole thing. Because when PS approached the victim's table, Chika had already been protected and moved away from there," she said again.

4. Case Still Being Investigated

Ridwan Soplanit said that they are still investigating the case. The police also plan to call another witness, a woman with the initial N, who met Chika on the night of the incident.

"That's what we're still investigating, because she was with a female friend, and we will summon her on Tuesday," said Ridwan.

"Later, we will see what N's friend will say, whether it really happened like Chika said. We will investigate it through examination," he concluded.

5. Case of Putra Siregar and Rico Valentino

As known, the South Jakarta Metro Police arrested entrepreneur Putra Siregar and artist Rico Valentino for their involvement in the assault case against MNA on March 2 at a cafe in South Jakarta area.

Following the incident, Putra Siregar and Rico were designated as suspects and detained at the South Jakarta Metro Police since April 13, 2022. Both Putra Siregar and Rico Valentino were charged under Article 170 of the Criminal Code with a maximum penalty of 5 years in prison.
