Artist Nikita Mirzani reported someone with the initials VA related to the Child Protection Law, Health Law, and the Criminal Code. Fahmi Bachmid, Nikita's legal counsel, stated that the reason for finally reporting the matter is so that VA receives criminal sanctions.
"It must be reported; if left unchecked, it will only get worse, so that he can receive criminal sanctions," he said when met after filing the report on Thursday (12/9/2024).
Under the Child Protection Law, the reporter is charged with article 76 D Jo 45, as well as other articles included in the Health Law and the Criminal Code.
After investigating Articles 76D and 76E of the Child Protection Law, it states that Everyone is prohibited from committing Violence or threats of Violence to force a Child to engage in sexual intercourse with them or with others.
"I inform you, the minimum penalty is five years, if proven, it will incur a minimum sentence of five years and a maximum of 15 years," said Fahmi.
"There are many charges, there are various forms of child protection. We reported one person, but it is severe," Fahmi added.
The 38-year-old woman admitted that she initially did not want to deal with the police anymore and had been living peacefully for a long time. However, this issue, in her opinion, deserves attention and she eventually had to report someone again.
"It's been two years since I've been to the police station, life has been peaceful. I'm here to visit and report someone. Just wait, it won't take long," said Nikita.
Meanwhile, Nurma Dewi, Public Relations of the South Jakarta Metro Police, confirmed the report made by Nikita Mirzani at a separate location. The report has been received and is currently being processed.
"Indeed, sister NM came to the South Jakarta Police to report about her family case. The reported person is identified as VA, who then became the victim LM, 17 years old," concluded Nurma.
The first hearing of this case will take place on September 19, 2024. In this initial hearing, the agenda will be the reading of the lawsuit.
