Through the Single 'Melangkah', Sissy Prescillia and Vanesha Prescilla Successfully Realize Their Duet Dreams

The choice of Melangkah as the single sent to the public is not without reason. Andi Rianto, the composer, said that the song plays an important role in the film.

"Melangkah, in my opinion, is the most important song in this film. It becomes the essence of this film, so I had to think extra when creating this song," said Andi Rianto when recently met.

Andi Rianto himself admitted to being amazed at how Sissy Prescillia and Vanesha Prescilla gave their best through the single Melangkah. Proving that these siblings are indeed competent in both fields.

"I am truly amazed and surprised by Sissy and Sasha's talent. Because they are not only good actors, but they also sang my song, which is not easy to sing, with sincerity and wholeheartedly," explained Andi Rianto.

Sissy Prescillia and Vanesha Prescilla expressed their joy in being involved in the musical drama BACKSTAGE. Because it also realizes the dream of having a duet single that can be heard by many people.

"It's great to realize the dream of dueting with my own sister. We are grateful that this film can make that dream come true," said Sissy.

BACKSTAGE is a musical drama created by Guntur Soeharjanto. This film, produced by Paragon Pictures, tells the story of an older sister who becomes a shadow singer for her younger sister.

In addition to Sissy Prescillia and Vanesha Prescilla, it also stars Achmad Megantara, Karina Suwandi, and Aulia Sarah. This film will be released in cinemas throughout Indonesia starting from December 30th.

Sissy Prescillia said that the offer to sing and act in the film BACKSTAGE came to her in 2016. When offered, she suggested Vanesha Prescilla's name as her co-star to Robert Ronny, the producer.

Considering that at that time Sasha had not yet acted in any films, the producer was still considering. Years after the initial discussion, it turns out that Sasha has become a famous actress whose films are watched by millions of people. The producer is confident in pairing Sasha with Sissy.

5. Afraid of Not Being Able to Portray Siblings

Considering that in the real world Sissy and Sasha are indeed siblings, it turns out that it does not make playing the roles of Sandra and Elsa easy. In fact, both of them had difficulties finding chemistry at first.

"When I found out that I would be playing with my sister, I was wondering if I could do it. Because we are very playful people, so I was afraid," said Sasha when met at Metropole XXI, Cikini area, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (7/10/2021).
