Unknown Address, This is the Explanation of the Religious Court Summoning Aura Kasih's Husband via Radio

Kapanlagi.com - In December 2020, the beautiful artist, Aura Kasih filed for divorce from her husband, Eryck Amaral. Aura revealed that the reason for this divorce is because her husband has not been living at home for the past 10 months. Moreover, during that time, Aura Kasih and their daughter did not receive any financial support.

The divorce process between Aura Kasih and Eryck Amaral also takes a considerable amount of time. The court still has to wait for Eryck's arrival and latest news, as his whereabouts are unknown.

Due to his unknown whereabouts and residence, the court summons Eryck Amaral through supernatural means or by using media such as radio, television, or print media to call him.

Taslimah, as the Public Relations Officer of the South Jakarta Religious Court, stated that Aura Kasih and her husband Eryck Amaral are scheduled to have their first divorce trial at the South Jakarta Religious Court on April 28, 2021.

"The trial agenda (first trial) is on April 28, 2021," said Taslimah, the Public Relations Officer of the South Jakarta Religious Court, on Wednesday (17/3).

1. Summoning Through Radio

However, because the defendant, Eryck Amaral, is reportedly abroad and his place of residence is unknown, the South Jakarta Religious Court summoned Aura Kasih's husband through radio. 

"Because the defendant's whereabouts are unknown in Indonesia, the court summons are conducted through mass media. The mass media used or utilized in the South Jakarta Religious Court is radio. The summons through radio are done twice. The interval between the first and second summons is one month," explained Taslimah.

2. Court Policy

Taslimah also explained the reason for summoning Eryck Amaral through radio is because it is the court's policy. However, summoning through television can also be done, depending on the plaintiff's willingness. 

"This is about policy, for those with unknown addresses in Indonesia, radio is still used. But someday, that policy or law might be changed to summoning through YouTube or social media," said Taslimah. 

"Summoning through TV running text is possible if the person concerned is willing or able. It has been suggested or offered to the parties to summon those with unknown addresses in Indonesia through TVRI. But the cost is expensive. Some parties are willing, some are not. The party who files the lawsuit pays for it," she continued. 

3. If the Defendant Does Not Appear

He also explained that if Eryck Amaral does not appear in court, the trial will proceed and the decision will depend on the panel of judges.

"If he (the defendant) does not appear in court on the next hearing date of April 28, 2021, after being called twice in a row, and the plaintiff is present and able to prove their allegations, the panel will deliberate and the judges will make a decision," he concluded.
