Vadel's Body Has Gotten Bigger While in Custody

Kapanlagi.com - Family visits Vadel Badjideh, who is currently still serving his detention at the South Jakarta Police, on Tuesday (3/4/2025). They noticed changes in Vadel’s condition while he has been in custody.

According to his father, Umar Badjideh, Vadel now looks more robust because he has been exercising regularly. "He’s gained weight; he’s doing push-ups all the time. He usually dances, and then he does push-ups there; his body has really changed," said Umar when met at the South Jakarta Police on Tuesday (3/4/2025).

His sister, Bintang, also noticed other changes in Vadel. According to her, her brother is now calmer and appears more mature than before.

"Same, more composed, more mature like that," said Bintang.

In addition, Umar also highlighted Vadel's prayer habits while in detention. He said that his son is now more disciplined in performing the five daily prayers.

"His prayers are also consistent, that's good. Outside, there were still gaps," added Umar.

2. Family Feels a Loss

This year's Ramadan feels different for the Badjideh family because they have to go through it without Vadel's presence. Bintang admits that her family feels a great loss, especially during sahur and iftar.

"Yes, we really felt it during iftar and during the first sahur and iftar. The loss is very palpable, so how to explain it, it's hard to put into words," said Bintang.

The family hopes that Vadel can get through this difficult time well. They continue to provide support to keep his spirits strong during the ongoing legal process.
