Venna Melinda Will File a Spiritual Divorce Lawsuit Against Ferry Irawan, Wants to Quickly Be a Widow

Venna Melinda decided to withdraw her divorce lawsuit against Ferry Irawan in the South Jakarta Religious Court. The reason is that Ferry's latest address could not be found, making the trial unable to proceed properly.

Therefore, after withdrawing the divorce lawsuit, Venna plans to file a new lawsuit. However, this time it will not be a regular divorce lawsuit, but a spiritual divorce lawsuit.

"This week we will register it, so we will do it shortly after the determination, maybe the determination will come out tomorrow, so maybe we will register it tomorrow as well," said Wijayono Hadi Sukrisno, Venna's attorney, on Monday (14/10/2024).

A ghost divorce lawsuit is a divorce lawsuit filed in the religious court when the address or whereabouts of the spouse are unknown. Because Ferry's home address could not be found, this decision was made.

"Yes, make it procedural under the legal procedure for the lawsuit if the defendant is not known in the law, a ghost lawsuit can be filed," he said.

From the previous trial, Venna's side had submitted two addresses where Ferry lived. However, it turns out that both addresses are no longer occupied by Ferry.

"The address that corresponds to the ID card domicile and the address where he lived when he first met Ms. Venna," he explained.

Of course, the ghost divorce lawsuit is guaranteed to proceed quickly. Certainly, in the upcoming trial, there will be no mediation, because the defendant will not be given an invitation to attend the trial.

"That's right, so if our ghost lawsuit follows the same procedure, we file a lawsuit, after a few months, usually at the first hearing, we can directly proceed with written evidence administratively," he explained.

"And witness evidence, then we can request a decision from the panel of judges, if approved, it can be decided immediately; if not approved, we will have at most 2 or 3 hearings," added the man commonly known as Kris.

Venna herself admitted that she really wants this divorce issue to be resolved quickly, even though she carries the status of a widow. Moreover, this has been going on for a long time because Ferry has not completed the divorce lawsuit by making a divorce declaration.
