Vincent Verhaag Educates Hagia With Love, Wants to Be the Princess's First Love

Having a daughter brings a new color to Vincent Verhaag's life. The presence of Hagia gives him a different perspective on parenting compared to his two sons. Vincent admits he wants to be the "First Love" for Hagia Alyara Verhaag, which will set the standard for her in evaluating men in the future.

Vincent has strong reasons for wanting to build a very emotional closeness with his daughter. He wants Hagia to grow up with an abundance of love from her father, so that she will not easily be enchanted by the false treatment of other men when she is grown up.

"Take care, I mean his dad is not just a dad who is absent, I don’t want him to meet someone like me from the time I was a teenager. So I have to go back again, the girl’s first love, that’s her dad. So I really want that later when Haghia is a teenager, the benchmark for giving love and affection is her dad," said Vincent Verhaag when met in the Darmawangsa area, South Jakarta, Friday (27/3/2026).

Besides giving affection, Vincent also wants to show an example of a man who works hard and is responsible. He hopes that Haghia will have high standards in choosing a life partner by comparing it to the qualities possessed by her own father.

"So when a guy approaches her and says 'Hey, can you cook like my mom?', she can respond 'Can you work like my dad?'. So the first love should come from her dad. Maybe from there it can be a benchmark, this is my dad, and he can give love 100%," Vincent emphasized.

Although Vincent tends to be strict and firm with El Barack and Don regarding discipline, he acknowledges that there will be a slightly softer treatment for Haghia. As the only daughter, Haghia holds a special place as the "Princess" in Vincent's eyes.

"What El received yesterday, that’s what his younger siblings will also receive. Just with Hagia, because she’s a girl, I might not be as hard on these two boys or as strict like that. Because she’s my princess," he expressed.

Vincent is determined to always be present in every moment of Haghia’s growth, from small things like asking how she is to ensuring that his daughter’s needs are met. For him, these small attentions have a very significant meaning for the child’s mental development.

"From small things like asking how you are, whether you've eaten, small things but they mean a lot to me, and that's what I want to teach and love my daughter. And I will try," he concluded.
