Virgoun Has Not Submitted Evidence of Drug-Free Status and Psychological Test as a Requirement for Child Custody

The custody battle between Inara Rusli and Virgoun is becoming more complicated. Inara's side points out that Virgoun has not met the important requirements set by the court to be able to participate in the custody of their children.

Herlina, Inara's legal counsel, revealed that until now Virgoun has not submitted a certificate of being drug-free and the results of a forensic psychological test. In fact, these documents are a strict requirement given Virgoun's history of being involved in a drug case.

"Until now, Virgoun's requirement to be allowed to participate in raising the children is a certificate of completion of rehabilitation from KKO Hospital and from a forensic psychiatrist as a sign that he is mentally ready to care for the children, and that has not been submitted," said Herlina when met in the Cipete area, South Jakarta, Wednesday (4/2/2026).

The Inara party regrets Virgoun's attitude, which is considered to ignore legal procedures while still insisting on having custody of the children. In fact, the custody rights both de jure and de facto still belong to Inara according to the Supreme Court's decision.

Inara's concerns are not without reason. She wants to ensure that the environment where her children live is truly safe and conducive for their growth and development, free from negative influences.

"Due to health and safety considerations for the children, namely the prohibition of allowing this child to stay overnight for more than 2 days considering that brother Virgoun was previously a drug user," he emphasized.

Inara hopes that Virgoun can comply with the applicable rules for the sake of the well-being and safety of their children. All this time, Inara admits she has never prohibited Virgoun from meeting the children, as long as it remains within reasonable and safe boundaries.

However, Virgoun's actions of taking the children without permission and complicating access to meetings forced Inara to take legal action. She wants to enforce the custody rights she has fought for in court.

"So far, Virgoun has never been prohibited from meeting, playing, visiting, or being taken to stay overnight by Virgoun, but in this case, it is limited to no more than 2 days," concluded Herlina.
