Althur Napitupulu, Mawa's lawyer, questions the validity and timing of the alleged marriage. Up to this moment, Mawa's party claims to have never seen any physical evidence or witnesses confirming the existence of the marriage.

"Actually, it's simple from our side; if you claim to be married, please show when the marriage took place. Until now, we, the legal representatives, and Mawa have not received any evidence," emphasized Althur in West Jakarta, Friday (09/01/2026).

Althur warns that a siri marriage should not be used as a justification or shield to cover up the alleged adultery reported by Mawa. He analogizes this situation to someone who obtains a driver's license after hitting another person to avoid punishment.

"Someone who hits another person cannot then just obtain their driver's license with the intention of making their accident invalid. Similarly, a siri marriage cannot be performed to justify their adultery," he explained with a sharp analogy.

Mawa's side also casually responded to Inara's attempt to report Mawa for alleged illegal access related to CCTV evidence. According to Althur, these are two different matters that cannot negate each other.

"So the issue of illegal access and the issue of adultery are two different matters. If the illegal access being questioned is about how to obtain evidence. But if adultery is the act itself. What needs to be tested here is whether the adultery truly exists or not?" he explained.

Althur believes that the attempt to criminalize victims who report crimes is a flawed and dangerous logic. He urges the opposing party to focus on proving the case of adultery rather than looking for other loopholes.
