Kapanlagi.com - The news about Zul Zivilia's release is finally answered by Retno Paradinah, his wife. It all started when a video clip circulated showing Zul Zivilia walking freely in the JIExpo area, Kemayoran, Jakarta to perform with his band.
According to Retno, at that time her husband was only performing at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) event, just like Zul had done before.
"Yesterday was the Kemenkumham event, just like the one during fasting month. Only the location was different," said Retno in the area of Jalan Kapten Tendean, Mampang, South Jakarta, Friday (11/8/2023).
Retno said that Zul received support from the prison authorities to train the creativity of the inmates. There, her husband was allowed to form a band with other inmates.
"Kak Zul plays the guitar and keyboard, so he was called," explained Retno Paradinah.
Therefore, Zul and the band members, who are also prisoners, are often involved in events organized by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights. That's why Zul and the band members have the opportunity to breathe fresh air.
"If there happens to be an event organized by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights that requires a band and Gunung Sindur Prison is invited, then yes, they can go out," said Retno Paradinah.
Therefore, from the circulating video, it seems like Zul is already free to roam. However, Zul and the other inmates who are members of his band are still closely supervised by prison officers.
"Yes, they are being supervised from the front and back by the prison authorities," said Retno Paradinah.
As a reminder, Zul was sentenced to 18 years in prison by the judges of the North Jakarta District Court. Zul was found guilty in December 2019 for being an intermediary in the distribution of narcotics, namely methamphetamine and ecstasy pills.
