Before starting his solo career, Virdi formed a band in 2016, KLovers. Although starting from a band with a heavy metal genre, Virdi has now switched to the pop RnB genre in his solo career. According to him, this difference is the result of experiments and continuous learning.

Virdi admitted that the transition from singing heavy metal to pop was not easy. However, he mentioned that the difficulty only lies in habits and differences in hearing. Currently, Virdi mixes rock music and pop songs in his life.

"It's very different, I used to play heavy metal, the classic ones like Megadeth. Finally, my solo career is RnB, more like an experiment. So, I got used to learning too," said Virdi to Kapanlagi.com, Tuesday (8/8/2023).

"Now it's more balanced. Sometimes I wake up and listen to rock, Duran Duran, and what else, Avenged Sevenfold, like that, just listen. Then later I listen to regular songs. It depends," added Virdi.

Virdi's single titled Pesona has received positive responses from its listeners, KLovers. Many are curious whether the lyrics are self-written, showing appreciation for Virdi's creativity.

"It's good, many people ask 'did you write the lyrics yourself?' like that. The responses are good," said Virdi.

However, Virdi admitted that inspiration for writing songs usually comes spontaneously from his imagination while watching a movie, not based on personal experiences.

"Sometimes people say in the song Pesona, 'oh, is this your story?' like that. Friends say that. No, actually it's just imagination. But people think it's based on experiences," he said.

Even so, the song Pesona itself has a connection with aspects of his personal life, although this song is still based on his imagination, "But it's possible that a song like Pesona is definitely related to my own life if you interpret it," he concluded.

Although he tends to rely on his imagination, Virdi does not rule out the possibility of creating songs based on personal experiences in the future.
