Wirda Mansur Accused of Lying about Studying at Oxford University, This is What Ustaz Yusuf Mansur Says

Kapanlagi.com - Wirda Mansur recently became the talk of the town for allegedly committing public deception by including Oxford University graduate on her LinkedIn account. However, she never graduated from that university.

Not only that, Wirda also became the subject of gossip for claiming to have studied at 4 universities, namely Oxford University, Raffles University, University of Buckingham, and Institut Daarul Quran.

Apparently, Yusuf Mansur has accustomed Wirda to seek knowledge and experience since she was in elementary school.

"I have been pushing Wirda since elementary school. When she was in junior high school, she started moving countries until she spent the longest time at Jordan University," he said when met at Institut Daarul Quran, Tangerang, Saturday (5/3/2022).

Knowing that his eldest daughter has become a topic of conversation, Ustaz Yusuf Mansur clarified the matter in detail.

1. Studying at Oxford

Regarding Oxford University, Yusuf Mansur stated that his daughter did not engage in public deception. Because his daughter's LinkedIn account was not created directly by Wirda.

"Wirda has been in Oxford City since the end of high school. Her mistake was that one of the directors of Paytren put on LinkedIn that Wirda is an Oxford alumni. But no one claimed to be an Oxford alumni. Wirda is new there. Besides, why would she lie? Maybe if it's a joke or a dream, it's fine. It's in the past tense, so it's as if she's already there. It could be a prayer, maybe. Even though it may sound like a lie to others, it's fine," he said.

2. Studying at Buckingham University

Then Yusuf Mansur explained about his daughter who claimed to have studied at the University of Buckingham. He believed that his daughter had indeed engaged in academic activities at the university.

"So Wirda studied online at Buckingham University, so it's not true to say she's lying. It's true that Wirda studied there," he said.

3. Reveal Student Card Evidence

He even has evidence that his daughter is indeed a student at the University of Buckingham.

"There is a student card, sessions with professors, payment receipts," he said.

4. No Face-to-Face Classes

Wirda, according to Yusuf Mansur, did not have the opportunity for face-to-face classes at the University of Buckingham due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

"Well, when she registered at Buckingham, Covid happened immediately. Alhamdulillah. If she had gone, it would still be in lockdown, unable to go to campus. Even though the dormitory and the campus are facing each other, she still couldn't go," he said.

5. Seeking Additional Knowledge at Her Own Campus

Because the lectures at the University of Buckingham are still online, Wirda takes advantage of her time by seeking additional knowledge at her father's university.

"Well, then because she has to study online, Wirda finally can take other courses. One of them is at the Institute Daarul Quran," she said.

6. Not Minding Wirda Who Often Changes Universities

Regarding Wirda, who is considered to enjoy moving to various universities, Yusuf Mansur does not mind this. On the contrary, he said it is his own desire for his child to not only gain various knowledge but also gain experience.

"So from the beginning, Wirda's program is about having experiences, that's her program. The goal is to have many experiences, friends, master the field, and become more mature," he said.

Yusuf Mansur explains that Wirda has the opportunity to seek knowledge at various universities, even though she is still in junior high school, because of the relationship factor from him.

"Wirda feels like a student at Jordan University even though she is still in junior high school, how is that possible? There must be good resources, reputation, connections, and networks," he concluded.
