Yusuf Mansur Sued for 98 Trillion Rupiah for Alleged Investment Scam, Here are the Detailed Losses of the Plaintiff

Kapanlagi.com - After receiving three lawsuits related to fraudulent investments at the Tangerang District Court, preacher Ustaz Yusuf Mansur is sued civilly at the South Jakarta District Court. Zaini Mustofa, a lawyer as the complainant, filed a lawsuit regarding the alleged breach of contract committed by Ustaz Yusuf Mansur.

In the lawsuit filed on Tuesday (11/1), Zaini also sued PT Adi Partner Perkasa (defendant 1), Adiansyah (defendant 2), BMT Darussalam Madani (defendant 4), and Yayasan Program Pembibitan Penghafal Al Qur'an Pondok Pesantren Tahfizh Daarul Qur'an (joined defendant). The lawsuit is registered under case number 28/Pdt.G/2022/PN JKT.SEL and the first hearing is scheduled for February 15, 2022.

In the lawsuit, Zaini Mustofa is seeking material compensation amounting to approximately 98 trillion rupiah and immaterial losses amounting to 100 billion rupiah.

1. Plaintiff's Loss Details

Found at Cafe Kopi Bangsa Museum Satria Mandala, South Jakarta, Thursday (13/1), Zaini briefly explained the losses he suffered until he had to file a claim for compensation of up to 98 trillion rupiah.

"As an investor, I handed over 80 million rupiah in 2009 with a promise of 11.2 percent interest per month. In January 2010, the investment profits were no longer paid. Everything has its calculations. If not, I wouldn't dare to sue in the South Jakarta Court," said Zaini.

2. There Was a Meeting

In 2010, a meeting was held with Ustaz Yusuf Mansur. In that meeting, he promised to compensate. But according to Zaini's statement, the promise has not been fulfilled until now.

"There was a meeting in 2010. But the promise for compensation has not been fulfilled until I filed the lawsuit. Since that meeting, there has been no communication," he said.

3. Platform for the Plaintiff Ustaz Yusuf Mansur

Met at the same place, Executive Director of People's Democracy Study (SDR), Hari Purwanto, stated that he is ready to accompany those who claim to be victims of Ustaz Yusuf Mansur. However, he emphasized that SDR is not only open to those who sue Ustaz Yusuf Mansur.

"This platform is open to anyone who becomes a victim of fraudulent investment. It is also important to underline that, although it originated from the plaintiffs of Yusuf Mansur and his associates, this platform is open to anyone," said Hari Purwanto.

4. Expecting Attention from the President

Lastly, Zaini hopes that this case will receive full attention from the Government, including the President. According to Zaini, this case has harmed many people, even thousands of them.

"Mr. President Jokowi, Mr. Chief of Police, I hope that this case will be given special attention. Because it has victimized hundreds, even thousands of people," Zaini hopes.
