Dewi Perssik alias Depe experienced a different Eid moment this year. The singer from Jember celebrated Eid al-Fitr in Pakistan. Her visit there was at the invitation of Ani June Kuncoro, the wife of the Indonesian Consul General in Karachi (Pakistan) named June Kuncoro Hadiningrat.
Of course, Depe was very happy with the invitation. Because besides entertaining, she could also meet her pilot boyfriend who happened to be in Pakistan.
It is known that Depe's sweetheart, Rully (in pink clothes), works for a Pakistani airline named Airblue. In an interview with the media, Depe explained the chronology of her visit to Pakistan.
"I was invited because Mas Rully works for Airblue Pakistan. Ibu Ani asked me to come and sing at the open house culinary festival event to introduce Indonesian cuisine," said Depe quoted from a voice note received by the media on Thursday (11/4/2024).
Dewi Perssik said that she departed from Indonesia to Pakistan on Sunday, April 7th. She attended the iftar moment together at Ani Kuncoro's residence.
On Eid day, Depe entertained Indonesian citizens attending the Indonesia Open House & Culinary Festival organized by the Consulate General of Indonesia in Karachi.
After singing, Depe admitted that she ate a lot until she was full. She was impressed with the reception and hospitality from the Karachi Consulate General's office.
During her time in Karachi, Depe went sightseeing in several corners of the city with her mother. Depe is known as an artist who is very close to her mother.
"I left on April 7th. My plan is to stay in Pakistan until April 17th. After that, I will transit in Oman. I also brought Mom with me, she's old and really wants to travel, so I brought her here to accompany me," explained the singer of the song Mimpi Manis.
Still in Karachi, Depe admitted that she has gained a new family. Meanwhile, Rully, her boyfriend, also accompanied Depe on her sightseeing trip there.
