Kapanlagi.com - Sad news once again hits the Indonesian music industry. Musician Didi Kempot, known as the Father of Loro Ati Indonesia, passed away today (5/5/2020).

Born as Dionisius Prasetyo, he took his last breath at around 07:45 AM at RS Kasih Ibu, Solo, Central Java. According to the attending doctor, Didi passed away due to sudden cardiac arrest.

The death of the singer of the song Cidro certainly surprised many parties. Including one of the journalists, Ari Kurniawan, who claimed to have known the late singer's songs since childhood.

"Since I was a child, I have been listening to Pakde Didi's songs from my parents who are originally from Solo. That's why I was really sad when I heard the news this morning. I couldn't believe it because it was so sudden," said Ari to KapanLagi.com.

Ari Kurniawan, who works as a journalist at Tabloid Bintang, has many memories with Didi Kempot. One of them is being able to watch his concert and have the opportunity to interview him when the musician's name was on the rise.

"Alhamdulillah, when Pakde's name was rising again, I had the opportunity to watch his concert while covering it. Alhamdulillah, I also had the opportunity to take some photos with the late singer after his performance in Kemayoran," he recalled.

Furthermore, Ari mentioned that he already had plans to watch Didi Kempot's concert in the middle of this year. Unfortunately, the event to commemorate the 30-year career journey of the Godfather of Broken Heart is confirmed not to be realized.

"Even though I already planned to watch the concert at GBK," said the man who likes Lord Didi's songs like "Layang Kangen, Suket Teki", and "Pantai Klayar".

4. Buried in Ngawi

Didi Kempot passed away today, Tuesday, April 5, 2020. The singer, who was dubbed The Godfather of Broken Heart, passed away at RS Kasih Ibu, Solo this morning at around 07.45 AM.

According to Solopos.com, Didi Kempot's body will be laid in the funeral home in Sumber, Banjarsari District, Solo City before being buried.

Solo Mayor, FX Hadi Rudyatmo, explained that Didi Kempot will be buried in Ngawi Regency, East Java. "Now he will be bathed and brought to Sumber first, then directly taken to Ngawi," said the mayor who is familiarly called Rudi.
