Covid Free Market Campaign, Ucie Sucita Invites the Public to Return to the Market

Kapanlagi.com - Ucie Sucita is one of the artists who has been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The singer of Dibuang Sayang admitted that the income from her cosmetics business has drastically decreased. Nevertheless, Ucie tries her best to do positive things to help others.

Recently, Ucie was seen conducting a campaign titled Covid Free Market. Her mission is to revive the economy in traditional markets that have been heavily impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.

"Today we are conducting a campaign for a Covid-free market, and the campaign involves using non-plastic trash. People are afraid to go to the market because of Covid, so we are campaigning for a Covid-free market and distributing paper bags as a replacement for plastic bags. The hope is that all markets will no longer use plastic bags, because plastic can also cause flooding in Jakarta," Ucie said recently.

1. Many Canceled Jobs

Not only her business is affected, Ucie also admitted that many singing and shooting jobs had to be canceled because of this pandemic. Nevertheless, as a true entertainer, she does not want to give up easily on the situation.

"We will continue to support all markets in DKI. God willing, I will continue to participate. Now, shooting activities are still rare. I also have a cosmetic business, because honestly, cosmetic sales have dropped significantly, only 20-30% left. But we must be true entrepreneurs and persevere," she continued.

2. Trying a New Business

Ucie then tried a new business to continue earning income and cover the losses from her other business. And unexpectedly, the decision she made was right and has started to yield results.

"Yesterday, I started a suki culinary business and Alhamdulillah, during this COVID, the food business is smoother. I am even overwhelmed because it is truly homemade. This is one of the blessings in this pandemic, having a new business," added the 30-year-old woman.

3. Already Started Shooting in the New Normal Era

Currently, the government has started implementing the new normal system, where the public is allowed to carry out activities as usual, but still following health and hygiene protocols. Ucie has also started shooting again.

"Alhamdulillah, we have started shooting, there are also social events, but still using health protocols and social distancing. The most important thing is to keep the workplace clean, frequently wash hands. What used to be cheek-kissing is now namaste," she concluded.
