Kapanlagi.com - The competition in the Top 42 round of Dangdut Academy 8 continues with the performance of Group 2 broadcast live on Thursday (16/7/2026). Under the guidance of coach Fildan, seven contestants competed for six tickets to the next round with evaluations from Lesti Kejora, Dewi Perssik, and Soimah.

Ikhwan Polewali Mandar, Murama Sijunjung, Khinan Surabaya, Kadhafy Bangkalan, Niswah Pemalang, and Tazir Langkat successfully advanced to the next phase. Meanwhile, Anisa Ogan Komering Ilir had to end her journey as the second contestant eliminated in the Top 42 round of Dangdut Academy 8.

1. Ikhwan Polewali Mandar Becomes the First Contestant to Advance

Ikhwan opened the competition night with a duet of Jalan Datar alongside Murama, which immediately received three standing ovations. Soimah referred to Ikhwan as one of the standout contestants since the auditions due to his vocal quality and distinctive style.

When performing Rembulan Bersinar Lagi, Ikhwan again earned three standing ovations. Dewi Perssik praised his interpretation of the song and his gaze, while Lesti hopes Ikhwan continues to learn until he can reach the final stages. Ikhwan also became the first contestant to be declared safe.

2. Murama Sijunjung Dazzles with Consistent Performance

Murama delivered an impressive performance since the opening duet with Ikhwan. Dewi Perssik noted that both already have their own characters and just need to maintain consistency.

When singing Pestamu Dukaku, Murama again swept three standing ovations. Lesti described him as a "perfect" contestant because he possesses a complete package of voice, looks, attitude, and stage presence. Soimah also praised his stable vocal control and urged Murama to keep developing. Murama was declared to advance along with Ikhwan.

3. Kadhafy Bangkalan Maintains Unique Vocal Character

Kadhafy performed in the trio Yang Tersayang alongside Niswah and Tazir. Dewi Perssik praised his articulation, improvisation, and unique vocal color, while Soimah reminded him not to drag the tempo too much.

When performing Air Mata Perkawinan, Kadhafy received appreciation again for his vocal runs and range. However, the judges agreed that he still needs to strengthen his expression, song dynamics, and mastery of the material to maximize his performance. Kadhafy successfully advanced to the next round.

4. Niswah Pemalang Asked to Enhance Star Aura

The trio Niswah's performance received praise for their distinctive dangdut vocal color, although Lesti noted that their harmony was still lacking in cohesion.

Through the song Bunga Bunga Rindu, Niswah showcased her vocal quality again. Dewi Perssik requested that her stage performance be more lively and expressive, while Soimah felt that Niswah only needed to strengthen her character and star aura to stand out more. This result allowed Niswah to advance to the next round.

5. Tazir Langkat Advances Thanks to Characterful Voice

Tazir received several notes regarding tempo, pitch control, and improvisation while performing in a trio and when singing Cinta Hitam.

Nevertheless, the judges assessed that Tazir has a thick and characterful voice. This potential secured him a ticket to the next round.

6. Khinan Surabaya Captures Attention Through Saxophone Performance

Khinan captivated the audience since the duet Cinta Berpayungkan Bulan before performing Hujan as a solo song.

The act of playing the saxophone on stage added value that earned praise. Dewi Perssik even gave a standing ovation and noted that Khinan's performance felt more valuable thanks to the musical instrument. Khinan was also declared successful.

7. Anisa Ogan Komering Ilir Becomes the Second Academia Eliminated

Anisa faced difficulties during the duet because she had not fully mastered the song material. Soimah assessed that she was too dependent on Khinan, while Dewi Perssik noticed that Anisa seemed confused and unfocused on stage.

In her solo performance of Ghibah, Anisa still received appreciation for her eagerness to learn. Coach Fildan revealed that Anisa indeed faced challenges in memorizing the original notation during practice. Despite fighting until the end, Anisa Ogan Komering Ilir had to end her journey as the second eliminated academia in the Top 42 Dangdut Academy 8.
