Dangdut Academy 8 Top 21 Begins, Check Out Some New Rules

Kapanlagi.com - Dangdut Academy 8 is entering the decisive phase. A total of 21 contestants who have secured tickets to the main round will perform in the Top 21 starting Monday, August 31, 2026. This round comes with new formats and rules that make the competition tighter from the first night.

Each group is scheduled to perform twice, namely on Show Night and continuing to Result Show Night. It is on the second night that the final results are announced, including who must be eliminated from the competition.

In addition to the two-night format, the rules regarding Standing Ovation (SO) have also been adjusted. Three SOs from the judging panel in one performance do not automatically ensure qualification for the next round. There is an accumulation mechanism of performances that will be considered.

Here are the key new rules in the Top 21:

• Each group performs twice, on Show Night and Result Show Night. The announcement of the eliminated contestants is made on Result Show Night.
• In the Top 21 round, three Standing Ovations from the judging panel do not necessarily mean that the contestant qualifies directly for the next round.
• Only spectacular performances with 3 Standing Ovations have the opportunity to be directly qualified by the three judges, based on the accumulation from Show Night and Result Show Night.

The group distribution for the Top 21 round has also been established. Each group will undergo the same two-night format, with the final results determined on the second night.

• Group 1: Diva (Kuantan Singingi), Rofia (Kuningan), Ikhwan (Polewali Mandar), Tazir (Langkat), Cendi (Mamere).
• Group 2: Fitri (Makassar), Razky (Pekanbaru), Sahwan (Sampang), Bhita (Pangkalpinang), Murama (Sijunjung), Kira (Bandung).
• Group 3: Alexa (Ciamis), Clara (Langkat), Rangga (Bantaeng), Ari (Sampang), Melani (Sidrap).
• Group 4: Azzio (Deli Serdang), Rama (Cirebon), Danil (Sumenep), Inayah (Gowa), Zhifanna (Pesisir Selatan).
