Dewi Perssik Sacrifices 12 Cows for Idul Adha, Meaning It as a Form of Surrender to God

Dewi Perssik once again shows her social concern by sacrificing 12 cows this year. The dozens of cows were not only slaughtered in Jakarta but were distributed to several locations such as Jember, Sukabumi, and Tasikmalaya.

The sacrificial event at her residence was only conducted on Thursday afternoon. Depe admitted she had just returned from a work trip outside the island, which prevented her from celebrating the actual day of Idul Adha at home.

"So today, actually, I am very tired, exhausted. But it's okay, I will make an effort for my friends because yesterday I was up until breaking the fast at 2:00 AM, 2:00 AM continuously. And there are still a large family gathering from West Kalimantan, all of them, well, it's basically the same as here," said Dewi Perssik when met at her residence in the Lebak Bulus area, South Jakarta, Thursday (28/05/2026).

For him, sacrifice is not just an annual routine to distribute meat. The owner of this chainsaw has a profound philosophy regarding the meaning of sacrifice, which is about letting go of the sense of ownership over worldly possessions.

"Actually, if we talk about its own meaning, it is about distancing oneself from ownership. So that is me, if, if, if Mr. AB says, everything belongs to Allah, right? So distancing oneself from ownership means here that none of this is mine, but this is a trust from Allah," said Dewi Perssik.

"So whether it is love or wealth, I surrender everything to Allah. Like right now I have extra blessings, there is nothing wrong with sharing. Because it is not mine, it belongs to everyone, it belongs to Allah," she explained.

The cow that he sacrificed in Lebak Bulus weighed up to 1.3 tons. In addition to the cow, he also received a bonus of several goats from his subscription place for sacrificial animals.

"Cooking again, eh I don't know, later just see. What is certain is my name, Eyang Kaku, me, my two parents, my child Felice Gabriel, along with Eyang Kaku, and Eyang Fifi, one more with Grandma, right. So how much is Mami's? 1.3, right. So there are two, 2.6. 2.6 tons," said Depe.

Although his physical condition was very poor due to lack of sleep, Depe still wanted to witness the slaughter process. He planned to rest briefly before returning to help distribute the meat to the residents.

"Of course. If sharing, yes. But usually I cut it until it's finished. Well, maybe just a little because I'm really sleepy. I haven't slept. Let me sleep for at least an hour, two hours. Later I'll wake up and cut it again," he concluded.
