Do Not Include the Original Creator and Singer's Name, Kristina Gives a Strong Warning to Via Vallen Regarding the Song Cover 'Secawan Madu'

Kapanlagi.com - Dangdut singer Kristina issues a strong warning to Via Vallen. Kristina's warning is related to the song Secawan Madu, which was covered by Via Vallen and published on Youtube without mentioning the original songwriter and singer.

"For Via Vallen, I advise her to instill mutual respect, especially among artists, from an early age. Since the beginning, I have always respected the creator and arranger," said Kristina through her personal YouTube channel, which was published on July 12, 2020.

"Hopefully, Via Vallen or at least her fans can inform her because no matter what, the wheel turns, up and down, sometimes we're on top and sometimes we're at the bottom, we must respect each other and be prepared when we become stars to step on the ground. Don't hang on, or else you'll fall and rise again," continued Kristina

1. Via Vallen Does Not Include the Name of the Original Songwriter and Singer

The song Secawan Madu is a creation of Joereal and Abunawas, which was first released by Kristina in 2003. As the singer who first popularized the song, Kristina felt dissatisfied when Via Vallen covered the song Secawan Madu and published it on Youtube without mentioning the name of the songwriter and the previous singer.

"I see the fact that Via Vallen claims the song as hers by making an official music video title without mentioning the official singer and songwriter," said Kristina.  

2. Reprimand for Via Vallen

Kristina hopes that her reprimand to Via Vallen can be a valuable lesson for those who like to cover songs without mentioning the name of the songwriter and previous singer.

"It's not the intention to bring anyone down, anyone, no. Hopefully, this can be a lesson for all of us that no matter what, we must respect each other, wherever and with whomever. If you want to cover a song, don't forget to search first, who the songwriter is. We should be more careful and respect the songwriter, especially if their income solely comes from songwriting," she concluded.

3. Via Vallen's Party Still Cannot Be Contacted

Meanwhile, after investigating, the song Secawan Madu which was sung again by Via Vallen was apparently published in 2016 by the YouTube account ascadamusik.

Ascadamusik, which is also the label that oversees Via Vallen, when asked for a statement, has not been able to respond to Kristina's reprimand.

"Contact us again at 2 or 3 o'clock. Because we want to discuss this matter first," said Sakti, Via Vallen's label manager when contacted.
